About Us

Who we are

Phueanchai opened its doors on Thanon Chaiyaphum in the Sri Phum neighbourhood of Chiang Mai with a particular focus on family law. The name itself carries a Thai sense of belonging and trust — qualities we try to bring to every conversation with a client.

Our work covers child custody and support arrangements, prenuptial and marital agreements, and family mediation. These are not routine transactions for the people who come to us. They represent significant moments in family life, and we treat them accordingly.

Over the years, we have found that many people arrive at our office feeling uncertain — about the law, about what to expect, about whether they are making the right decision. We aim to ease that uncertainty by explaining things clearly, moving at a pace that suits each person, and keeping the focus on what actually matters to the families involved.

Our team works within the framework of Thai civil and family law, and we stay current with developments that affect the families we serve. We do not promise particular outcomes, but we do commit to handling each matter with care, discretion, and honesty.

How We Work

Standards we hold ourselves to

Strict confidentiality

All client information is held privately. We do not share case details with outside parties, and our record-keeping follows Thai data protection requirements.

Current legal knowledge

Our advisers keep up with changes in Thai family law and civil procedure. When relevant updates occur, we make sure our approach reflects them.

Plain-language communication

We explain each step clearly, in straightforward language. Clients should never leave a meeting feeling more confused than when they arrived.

Neutral, fair handling

In mediation and agreement work, we aim for outcomes that are fair to all parties. We do not take sides; we help people find ground they can stand on together.

Transparent fees

Service costs are shared upfront, clearly, and in full. We do not add charges without explanation, and we will always tell you before any additional work begins.

Children's wellbeing first

In custody matters, the children's stability and needs take priority in every decision. We help parents focus on what serves their children rather than what feels satisfying in the moment.

Family law in Chiang Mai — handled with consideration

Chiang Mai is home to a wide mix of families — local Thai households, mixed-nationality couples, and expatriate families from across the region. Each brings its own set of circumstances, and family law matters rarely follow a simple script.

Phueanchai works within that variety every day. Child custody arrangements often need careful thought around schooling, living distances, and extended family relationships. Prenuptial agreements sometimes span different legal systems. Mediation sessions can involve people who have known each other for decades and carry deep histories together.

What we bring to each of these situations is time and attention. We read each case carefully, we ask questions when something is unclear, and we keep communication open throughout the process. Family law requires both legal knowledge and human sensitivity — neither is enough on its own.

Our location on Thanon Chaiyaphum in the Sri Phum area makes us accessible from most parts of central Chiang Mai. We offer in-person appointments and can arrange alternative times for those who find standard office hours difficult.
